A tres horas de la ciudad de Panamá, se encuentra uno de los ingenios más representativos del país y con más historia. Se trata de la hacienda San Isidro, en Pesé cerca de la ciudad de Chitré. Un lugar encantador al que pudimos asistir invitadas por Ron Abuelo, producto estrella de Varela Hermanos y por Jorge Chanis, reconocido blogger de comida y columnista, en el que la historia y la tradición están marcadas en cada rincón del lugar.

Fueron unos días encantadores en donde pudimos disfrutar más de Panamá y su gente mientras aprendimos del proceso detrás de uno de los mejores rones del mundo. ¡Esperamos que les guste!

Three hours away from Panama City, is one of the most representative and historic sugarcane mills: Hacienda San Isidro, located in Pesé near the city of Chitre. A charming place where we were invited by Ron Abuelo, a flagship product of Varela Hermanos and by Jorge Chanis, renowned food blogger and columnist; where history and tradition are marked in every corner of the place.

They were a couple of lovely days where we could enjoy more of Panama and its people as we learned the process behind one of the best rums in the world. Hope you like it!
